ZLEDS (“we”, “our”, or “us”) is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how the ZLEDS Bit Editor Android application (“the App”) collects, uses, and protects information when you use the application.
By downloading or using the App, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy.
📋 INFORMATION WE COLLECT
The ZLEDS Bit Editor App does not require users to create an account or provide personal information such as their name, email address, phone number, or physical address.
To access purchased lighting content, the App requires an Access ID, which is a unique alphanumeric code supplied by ZLEDS.
Each Access ID is issued only to the original purchaser of a compatible ZLEDS product and serves as an authorization key for accessing customer-specific lighting content.
The Access ID is used solely to:
- Authenticate access to purchased lighting content.
- Verify authorization to download customer-specific programming files.
- Prevent unauthorized access to licensed content.
The Access ID is not intended to personally identify users outside of ZLEDS’ internal authorization system.
☁️ DOWNLOADED CONTENT
Once a valid Access ID has been verified, the App downloads lighting data associated with that Access ID from ZLEDS servers.
Downloaded content may include:
- Custom LED animation files
- Lighting configuration files
- Product-specific programming data
- Firmware configuration information
Downloaded content is used exclusively within the App for programming compatible ZLEDS lighting controllers.
📡 BLUETOOTH PERMISSIONS
The App uses Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) to communicate with compatible ZLEDS lighting controllers.
Bluetooth functionality is used only to:
- Discover compatible devices.
- Connect to supported controllers.
- Upload lighting configurations and animation data.
- Receive responses from connected controllers.
Bluetooth communication occurs directly between your Android device and your ZLEDS hardware. No Bluetooth communication data is transmitted to ZLEDS servers.
🌐 INTERNET ACCESS
The App requires an Internet connection to:
- Verify the supplied Access ID.
- Authenticate the original purchaser’s authorization.
- Download lighting content associated with the Access ID.
- Retrieve customer-specific programming updates when available.
The App does not continuously transmit information to our servers beyond what is necessary to provide these services.
💾 LOCAL STORAGE
The App may store downloaded lighting files, application settings, and cached data locally on your device to improve performance and reduce repeated downloads.
Locally stored data remains on your device unless removed by you or by uninstalling the App.
⚙️ HOW WE USE INFORMATION
Information processed by the App is used solely to:
- Authenticate Access IDs.
- Authorize access to purchased lighting content.
- Download customer-specific programming data.
- Program compatible ZLEDS lighting controllers.
- Maintain and improve App functionality.
- Provide customer support when requested.
We do not use your information for advertising, analytics, or marketing purposes.

- ZLEDS does not sell or rent your information.
- ZLEDS does not share your information with third-party advertisers.
- Information is disclosed only when required by applicable law or when necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of ZLEDS, its customers, or others.

We take reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect communications between the App and our servers.
Where supported, communications are protected using industry-standard encryption during transmission.
While no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure, we strive to protect your information using appropriate security practices.
🗂️ DATA RETENTION
The App stores only the information necessary for its operation.
Downloaded lighting files and application settings may remain on your device until they are removed by you or by uninstalling the App.
👶 CHILDREN’S PRIVACY
The App is not intended for use by children under the age of 13.
